Last night, November 6, the 20th edition of the Red Bull BC One World Championships took place in Gdansk. This is the annual solo competition that the breakdance scene is all about. This year, four dancers from the Dutch breakdance crew The Ruggeds achieved a place in the top 16. Never before have so many members of the same crew been in the world final at the same time.

Prior to the world championships, there will be 16 matches (cyphers) where B-boys and B-girls from all over the world can compete for a place in the final. During these Cyphers, crew members Zoopreme, Tawfiq and Lagaet have already qualified. Two days before the final, on November 4, fourth member Lee also secured his spot during the BC One Last Chance Cypher.

Dancers Zoopreme, Tawfiq and Lee won their first battles and advanced to the quarterfinals where Tawfiq and Lee even faced each other. Lee took the win and made it to the semi-finals. A very exceptional achievement for a special group.

In the video below you can see the performance of Lee during the BC One Last Chance Cypher 💛
